Move AI is seeking a dynamic Head of Finance (HoF) to join our exciting journey. As Head of Finance at Move.ai, you will report to the VP of Ops and Finance and be responsible for working collaboratively with senior management to ensure sound financial management and business operations across the company. Move AI currently use an outsourced bookkeeping company, so you would lead them and help to guide them in upgrading our processes. The ideal candidate will be a structured and organised individual that is excited about growing into a more senior role as we grow our business and enjoys the challenge of working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with VP Ops/ Finance to develop and maintain financial models to forecast company profitability and growth
• Manage all aspects of the accounts payable and receivable functions and ensure timely and accurate payments and third-party accounting support
• Oversee the company’s RevOps and associated billing/revenue recognition across multiple products, including international VAT/sales tax requirements of launching products to multiple countries at once
• Prepare and manage cashflow forecasts.
• Preparation of month end management accounts for review by the VP Ops / Finance
• Year-end accounts, financial accounting and tax
• Ensure compliance with all accounting regulations and standards
• Assisting the R&D tax specialist with the R&D claim preparation
• Assisting in any grant applications or adhoc finance related projects
• Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes to reduce time and cost wherever possible, using our outsourced accountants to your advantage

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or similar
• A love of learning and willingness to take on new challenges that are handed to you by senior management
• Proven finance management experience with a mix of practice and industry experience in the tech sector highly desirable
• Experienced in using Xero accounting software and payment systems such as Stripe and Apple
• Ability to multitask in a start-up / fast-paced environment
• Expertise in financial modelling and forecasting
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Desire to build a solid, secure career with a rapidly growing company
